Shipping & Handling Policy

Welcome to Black Cat Wire Works (BCWW), where each piece of Jewelry is creatively handcrafted and carefully packaged from Metro Vancouver, Canada. As a small business, we are committed to providing transparency and reliability at every step. For a detailed understanding of what to expect when ordering from us, please refer to this policy. *All Orders are shipped from Metro Vancouver, Canada.*

Estimated Shipping Times:

  • Orders that are ready to ship (non custom order) will be shipped within 1-4 business days
  • Custom Orders that are made to order will be shipped within 7 Days after agreed custom design and full payment. Please see our Shipping Custom Orders Policy.

Estimated Delivery Times:

  • Domestic Shipments (Canada): Arrive in 2-4 business days. 
  • International Shipments (USA): Arrive in 4-6 business days.
  • Other International Shipments: Arrive 7-10 business days. 

*Please be mindful that these are estimates made by my local postal service “Canada Post”, and that all shipments can be subject to delay due to forces out of my control.*

Order Tracking and Delays Policy:

  • Tracking Policy: As we are a small business, currently packages do not come with tracking, unless you choose to track your package with the “Shop” application provided for free at the checkout. This application can be easily downloaded via IOS/Android
  • Delays Policy: Black Cat Wire Works is not responsible for delays caused by the postal service or by the custom border patrol services. There will be no refunds or cancellations for items that arrive late due to either of those services.
  • International Delays: Please be mindful when shipping internationally (outside Canada) that packages may experience delays during the customs process. Unfortunately, these mandatory procedures are beyond our control. No refunds or cancellations can be offered for late-arriving items.
  • Domestic Delays: Black Cat Wire Works cannot be held responsible for delays caused by postal or custom services and sometimes this can be a lengthy process. No refunds or cancellations can be offered for late-arriving items.
  • If Your Order is Delayed: Delayed shipments are out of our control and will eventually arrive. However, if your item has not arrived within 1 month (Canada) or 2 months (International, including U.S), we will refund the original shipping cost as a token of appreciation for your patience.

Lost/Damaged Packages Policy:

  • Damaged Order Policy: If your package arrives damaged, report within 5 days of package arrival via email black.cat.wire.works@gmail.com,. You must include a picture of the damaged item(s). Request an exchange or refund. Please see our Refund/Exchange Policy below.
  • Lost Orders Policy: In the rare occurrence that your package is lost and you opted to track your package through the “Shop” application we can provide a full refund or replacement. Replacements/refunds are only applicable if the order has not arrived within 1 month (Canada) or 2 months (International, including U.S). Please see our Order Tracking and Delays Policy.
  • Lost Untracked Orders Policy: Unfortunately, we can’t confirm the authenticity of a lost item without tracking. No refunds or replacements can be provided if your order is lost. This is why we emphasize using the “Shop” Application to track your shipment and order number. We apologize, as no exception can be made at this time.

Refund/Exchange/Cancel Order Policy:

  • Cancel Order Policy: Notify us ASAP to cancel an order or items. Full refunds are available for unshipped items that are not custom orders, including the shipping fees. *Once an order is shipped, it is not possible to cancel an order.* If you seek a refund, kindly return the product to Black Cat Wire Works to initiate a full refund process.
  • Refund Order Policy: Most items (except custom items, discounted and sale items), are eligible for a full refund of the purchase price (excluding shipping). Custom Orders are eligible for a refund up to 50%. Significant time, planning and cost of materials are invested into each one-of-a-kind jewelry piece. Please see our Custom Order Policy.
  • Exchange Order Policy: You may exchange your item(s) (except custom, discounted and sale items) of only equal or greater value provided the item is available in the shop. If you would like to exchange for an updated custom design, please refer to our Upcycle Your Pendant Program.

How to Return or Exchange:

All returned/exchanged orders must

  1. Request via email to black.cat.wire.works@gmail.com within 30 days of the package’s arrival with the appropriate subject line: “Refund” “Cancellation” or “Exchange Request” with your tracking number provided from the “Shop” application that you opted into at checkout. If you did not opt into the “Shop” application, unfortunately we will be unable to initiate an exchange/refund. 
  2. Be returned, unworn and undamaged to BCWW
  3. Once the order has been returned and we can confirm it is undamaged, we will initiate the refund through the original payment method.
